River Roy (lower) - Trees

Paddled lower Roy today.  Few new trees have fallen into the river after the wild windy weather.  All avoidable but be careful as it's not always clear how far they extend until you get near.  One thing to watch is on the last rapid - between the road bridge and the railway bridge.  Not everyone does this, it is after an informal take out which some go for (a river right scramble up to the carpark in Roy Bridge).  If you paddle on to the normal take out (as per the guidebook) this takes you to the final rapid.  The usual line down far river right has several trees in it and did not look like a good option even at a medium flow.  One to watch with big groups / less experienced paddlers.  Easy to avoid though at medium or high flows by running river left.
